Title: Hi from Maryborough, Qld
Post by: Willow Girl on December 19, 2010, 08:27:35 PM
Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself. I have been lurking and catching up with the wealth of info you guys (and gals) have for quite a while now.
We purchased our first  (read secondhand) camper trailer in November. It is supposedly a semi off-road . But now I'm not so sure it is. It has a Walkabout tent attached on the top which is incredibly easy to set up.From Kedron canvas in Brissy.   Beats putting up the ol tent and bedding any day!!!   I am already dreaming of a full off road one now that we have also purchased a 4x4.
Tried the camper out for the first time at Paradise Dam a few weeks ago. All went well but I now have a list a mile ling of extras I would like for it. :D :D :D

Hi Willow Girl,

Welcome to My Swag.  Glad to hear you've got some mods planned (haven't met a Swagger yet who's 100% satisfied).

I've got a few hundred family up that way!  How are you liking this rain?

Thanks all for your welcome...
Kit-e  funny you should ask about the rain.....

Here is a pic of our first time taking the surf off road. happened by accident. My hubbys friend decided to camp out in the forestry just up the road from us. all ok right... except he owns a van. not a 4x4! it wouldn't have been a problem except that that evening we had a HUGE downpour and he was well and truely stuck. Surf to the rescue.lol

ok so I haven't figured out how to post a pic yet. Will add soon

Hi Willow Girl.  A late welcome to the forum.  How are you guys doing down there in Maryborough?  Hope you are high and dry.  We have friends in Maaroom and visited back in Oct 09 when we had a good look around Maryborough - loved it, especially the museums you have there. They're great.
Anyway, hope you're safe.
Enjoy the site here.
Cheers
