Another newby from WLG NZ
« on: September 21, 2014, 09:50:20 AM »
Hi there from Wellington NZ.
I've just joined but only have a very basic day trailer.  It was built strong to tow behind my Vitara (now sold) and Suzuki Samurais (2) but mainly use it behind my Prado.  Trailer camping over here may be a challenge because most of the off-roading is over tightly restriced  access and the tracks are very narrow. Mostly I'll be setting up camp and ranging out for day trips.  I have an Oztent RV 3 and am active in a large 4WD club.  Also into HAM radio.
Steve.

Gidday to Windy Wellington - Welcome.

Had a restaurant in Eastbourne for several years quite a while ago now. Love the Bays... Spent a lot of my life getting to see places around there. My fav name in the whole world is Eketahuna... ;D

Thanks for the welcome guys.  Yes, Wellington's a great place to live but its also a great place to get away from on days like today  (forecast 120 km/hour southerly with rain and hail).   I have a mate who lives on a farm in Ekatahuna.  I love saying it on the ham radio when I've got him as a contact.
Steve.
