Booking campsites at Elliot's Falls.

As we can only book 6 months in advance for the campsites the date to book is 27th December.

The dates to book for are 27th June for 2 nights. (If members wish to stay longer no problem)

The website is: http://parks.nprsr.qld.gov.au/permits/

You must register online to book so I would suggest doing this before the 27th December.

Naturally not all members can fit in but there are spots at canal creek to camp and you don't need to book.

The sites and space available:

22: two campers

23: two campers

29: four campers

31:two campers

8: two campers

17: three campers

15: three campers

13: two campers

11: one camper


Allocated sites for members with campers :

Site 22.   McGirr and JK

Site 23.    Symon and GeoffA

Site 29.    Bjf,Casey's and Chris J

Site 31.     MarkVS and Duggie

Site 8.       Xcvator and Benji

Site 17.     Scoot and the Japanese travellers.

Site 15.     Falcon , Nathan and barra boy

Site 13.     Swanny  and Mobi

Site 11.     Watty 2975

Members with tents pick the sites you want.

I would suggest one person from each site make the booking. Pm each other to work out who.

JK I will book our site.

Anything you are unsure please let me know. If you miss out on a site then you have no choice but camp at canal creek.  ;D

I have done a test booking for the sites and they show you how many people fit into the sites. See who you are paired up with and work out who will do the booking.

The sites are $5.95 per person per night.  Pick a tent site and its all yours. Even if the site can take 4 / 6 people. You can then share with other members who are swagging / tenting. They can pay the ranger when we arrive. The booking will only take one name and you add how many adults.

The sites at Canal creek are better if you have kids as you can see them swimming from your campsite. Then it is only a 10 min walk down to the falls. The falls camps looked ok but you still have to walk to the falls. We had a ball at Canal creek. Be aware there is limited space there as well. :D

Agree, and yes not guaranteed a spot can make it hard. It depends if we can all book the sites at the national park. Plus having toilets is handy.

What is the name of the park at Elliot's Falls, as I can not find it under the Elliot's Falls name on the National Park Site.
