Makes ya think
« on: February 16, 2017, 06:49:10 PM »
Came home today after a real ****ed few days at work... anything that I touched turned to Shit, broke, fell apart... even things I didn't touch ****ed up... And the bloke was supposed to turn up today with parts, put it off again until tomorrow... ****in corkhead...

Then the kids come up and tell me about the kid they told me about yesterday only a young kid in Yr 8/9 kid, walking through playground on crutches (not sure why), but he tripped over in the playground and hit his head...
Apparently they needed the Defibrillator on him, so it wasn't good... Anyway, he got air lifted out.

The kid died today.

Makes ya think how ****ed life can be.. So much to look forward to, poor little bugger hadn't even started life yet..
I didn't know the kid, but I think Cam knows the family.. Can't imagine what they are going through or how you get through something like that.

Makes me wanna give myself an uppercut worrying about how ****ed my day was...

Go give ya kids a massive hug, and maybe a Choccy Sundae from McShithouse, ya never know what can happen next...

What a shocking story that's terrible  :-[
Sometimes we all need a wake up call and focus on what's most important.

Knowing where the nearest AED is housed can be life saving.

My employer, (the University) has approximately 50 of them. Muggins here has the job of coordinating their  upkeep!  Locations of them all are logged on the State Wide Database.

The database can then be accessed via a a free  App called AED Tasmania.  There are other Apps that cover the mainland.  Alternatively online via http://aed.stjohn.org.au/view-aed-locations
The St Johns map unfortunately only maps AED's provided by them.

Although training on AED use is recommended, they provide automatic audio prompts to the user and guide you thru the process. They wont deliver a shock to the patient unless it is required. Anyone can use them.

We recently took 6 units out of our system as they were a different brand to most of our others. They have been donated to community groups such as local SES Units and remote  communities without direct medical support.

Went to a family funeral last week. It was the 4th family funeral where I've watched a man bury his son.

It's not cool. Not something I ever want to do.
With enough horse power, sheer ignorance and a total lack of respect for your vehicle, you'll get through....

A couple retired to Town , New house , new start to live out there years in sleepy relaxing Nagambie . Move forward 18 months after the ravages of  rapid onset altizimers  stripped him of everything he knew , he was gone . Left a sad woman to restart her life with out him .
