Brisbane noob saying howdy
« on: September 06, 2012, 08:22:16 PM »
Hi folks, firstly congratulations on a fantastic site.

I was looking to purchase my first ct about now until I knocked up Mrs so plans have been put on hold for 12 months, but gives me a chance to do a heap more research.

My plans at this stage, like many I've seen, is deciding between 2nd hand rig or a new market direct camper. Seems the reviews of the MDC have gotten alot better over the years and I have noticed you can now get the Aussie dynaproof canvas, not sure how much extra it costs but looks like I've got some time up my sleeve to make decisions. I have seen some good 2nd hand rigs on eBay lately.

Anyway off to go trolling through the forum.

Hey Polyphonic,

Welcome! Congrats on putting off the CT purchase for 12 months?!   ;D  But at least now you'll be able to catch up on some important modification reading, know whether you want to go hard or soft, which fold will be your fancy (either side or rear), how to hook up that water pump, those lights, those new brakes, where to get those new tyres, how to fancy up the front of your car, and eventually, where to take the new creation.

You'll catch me on occassion at Dan Murphy's Springwood ... I don't live far from it.

G'day & Welcome.

Get the camper before the baby arrives! Then, it won't be a question of "can I still get the camper" but "you'll need a hotwater system and more battery power so you're comfortable with the baby".

Good luck.
