Wow! Thanks a lot guys.
Evie and I are only just getting into this camper trailer thing and love it.
I thought I recognized some names on here from other forums and wondered if they were the same people. Its bloody good to be back in the swing of things. I love the feel of this place.
For now, we only have a falcon so are a bit (lot) restricted s to destinations but as we gear up for retirement in about 4 years, that will change. Will try to answer questions below.

Hi Evie and Mick, and welcome. Torbanlea hey. We are just up the road at Maryville (borough). We have done a couple of big trips but not much around this area as yet. Kev retiring from police at Christmas, and hoping to do a lot of tripping over the next few years. Enjoy your camo tent, have seen a couple around, they are pretty cool. Kris and Kev

G'day and welcome! Sorry for the late reply.
One thing about this region is that there's some great trips around this area of ours. Don''t forget to have a squizz at Lenthalls ... at $5.25 pp it's a steal!

G'day krisandkev and Scolers,
Thanks guys.
Scolers mate, i used to love lenthal's but i have some pretty serious gripes about the place.
1. It used to be like a small Kakadu before Wide Bay Water and that other bunch of bloody crooks and halfwits, Hervey Bay Council raised the wall and embarked on a bare earth policy around the perimeter. I still want to smack somebody over that B.S.
(I believe the massive land clearing around the perimeter was a major contributor to the massive barra kill a couple of years ago.) I fished the backwaters regularly and saw THOUSANDS of dead barra, many in the vicinity of a metre long.
2. When they did the camp/launch area "upgrade", the mad B@#$%ds cut a heap of hoop pines and other magnificent shade trees in what is now the camping area. Now, there are no bloody shady camping spots at all. this is fine if one doesn't mind camping in the sun and having ones brains fried. Not for me tho.
Nevermind, rant over. Perhaps the place will come back to a semblence of what it once was. Till that time, I/we are happy enough to go somewhere else.

Very nice and welcome mate. You live in a nice part of Aus, I regularly visit that way as the in-laws have lived in Hervey Bay 40plus years......
