New to the CT.............................
« on: June 08, 2011, 12:46:06 PM »
Hey Everyone,

I found this great forum whilst I was looking for some information about CT's.

I liked it so much that I thought I would join up and hopefully contribute something useful back.

My story is that I have a young family, kids being 3 and 5, and we have really enjoyed camping with them, even my wife.

I got sick of towing the old crap box trailer full of stuff around and decided to fork out for a fairly budget camper to see if we would enjoy it.

The CT is great its so easy to deal with and its made camping even more enjoyable.

So far we have taken it to South West Rocks, Cotton Tree, Noosa North Shore, Fraser and are heading to Agnes next week.

As you can see from where we've been were a fairly dedicated beach/surfing/fishing family.

If anyone wants to know anything about camping on the Sunny Coast we are always happy to try and help.

Cheers

Welcome to MySwag Nomad, sounds like you have the bug. What sort of trailer did you get and what gets it to the beach?? Enjoy your stay

Hi GG,

Thanks for your welcome. We are on our third Prado (03, 06 & now an 09). I bought a market direct camper from Brissy after looking at a heap of overpriced second hand ones. I know they're Chinese but with some help from my mates we have wired it for 12v and 240 volt and improved all the welds and fully rust proofed the thing to make it more beach friendly and added tool boxes and stuff. So I hope to get 5 years out of it.

Cheers Nomad.

Hi Gary,

The only time we really got caught was on the way back from SW Rocks in January. Just before all the flooding mayhem began. We did have to drive through a fair bit of water around Coffs getting home but other than that all good. Lately its been really good to go bush camping and have some great fires.

Cheers
