Nice!
You know it is miserable in NZ when even the locals are complaining.

I got chastised for criticizing Invercargill in this thread :( but I have had the pleasure of trying to work down there at this time of year and as I said in that post “you have my deepest sympathies”... ;)

The whole time I was there I kept wishing someone would put one of those massive hedges that they love so much all the way around me to get some shelter from those relentless Arctic winds.

What’s funny is that Kiwis raised the loss last weekend multiple times before I even got a chance to. I even had an old lady in the elevator at the hotel mention it to me. I think they might all be secretly happy they have a bit of competition again.

It is the wind that is the killer, temp wise it was around 7-9 degrees during the day but the wind chill makes it seem much worse.
A nice place to curl up in front of a fire with an American Honey, either the Wild Turkey type or just the wild type if you can find one

Is Microsoft Sharepoint a psychological experiment to mess with our heads, or is it simply the slowest, clumsiest and most painfully incompetent way to manage online documents...?

I use it everyday and it's sooooooooooooooooooooooo much better the the slow and clumsy way we had to handle shared documents in the past.
In the past it took ages to get the access code to log into VPN, wait for ever for the connection to be routed through a bunch of servers, only to find that someone else has the document open that I need and I'm not allowed to touch it.....

We have 27 staff here in AUS, about 50 staff in overseas factories, all working on the same files all the time with no issues at all.
I like the way I can see all of the files, but they're not downloaded to my PC until I actually open them. Working remote has just become a million times better with SharePoint.

The issue that I have with it is the ASIO level secturity that our IT nazi has deceided to set on EVERYTHING......  >:(

Sounds like yours is much better implemented than ours.  Our old EDMS system was miles quicker.
This morning I couldn't even get the folders to display correctly so I could select the document I just needed to read briefly.  It is usually much quicker if you get it to display in "Classic Sharepoint" but today I didn't even get that option.  Good thing I get paid by the hour....

Random question....How is it that on TV shows like Outback Truckers and the like, passengers in truck cab sleepers don't wear restraints?
Is it legal?

Is it reality?

He's an embarrassment and a joke.
There's a lot of good professional drivers out there doing the right thing. We surely don't need a goose like that giving a bad name to the industry.

Turbo definitely isn't your average truckie. He ended up doing time for fraud, for once A Current Affair did a good job back in 2016.

The entire show is just an embarrassment to Australians.

Even the W.A. based desert collectors, sure, they find some good stuff, but the quality of the "hosts/actors" is just terrible.

The show that did surprise me a few years back was "Towies" with Clayton's Towing.
Pretty well done.

I wonder if desert collectors is done that way so that it seems like they are "the bloke next door"?
