Anybody know anything about table tennis tables? Missus wants me to get one for Christmas.

I've found 2 options:
Rebel Sport - Once I add a net/bats/balls etc it will be close to $500, plus I have to pick it up and get it home
http://www.rebelsport.com.au/Product/Dragonfly-2500-Series-Table-Tennis-Table/520467
or
Stiga Club Roller Table Tennis Pack - delivered to my door for $568
https://www.tenniswarehouse.com.au/other/table-tennis/stiga-table-tennis-table-pack.html
I owe, I owe, it’s off to work I go…

Work - Outback
Play - Prado

FWIW I'd buy the cheapest to see if its just a fad... if people are still playing it in 6 mths time, then move up.

Like everyone I know who have bought pool tables, used all the time at first, then just sit there for 364 days a year

Yeah but like pool tables if you buy a quality one it will last you ten years plus then it does not matter if it is only used when the boys came around

Have watched them in the last light at Narandera,  almost out of sight.

Magnificent.

Agree!
I have to buy both. Myself and the daughter like ladyfingers. Younger son and the Missus like cavendish. Older son ( 18yo) just devours anything that looks remotely like food.....

They ride the thermals above Maclean over the river.
Could sit there for hours and watch them.

Same thing people do from planes, when they're shark spotting.  They're looking down into the water for food.
It's more successful from up there, than sitting in the water.

I ended up buying the eBay Stiga copy, my son was amazed how Santa's Elfs managed to set it up in the garage. We've been playing it all day, I can now see how the heavy base makes the table bounce better.

Why do they do other one also.
Make a left turn from the middle of the roadway.
It's not as if they are driving a big combination or a semi.
Or the prop and take as much of the road as they possibly can, preventing anyone else continuing.
It's not unlawful to pass in that situation, as long as you pass on the side away from where they turn to.
Then there are the ones who think they drive a vehicle 3.5M. wide and want all the road width, doesn't matter who's coming the other way.

I think they summed it up with:  "They teach them to pass the test, not to actually drive the car."
