didn't take long for this to be a religious bashing thread, like plenty of others in this forum.

Nahh No bashing from me, Everyone can believe in what ever they like without bias from me ... Hell my religious belief is  Karen Pini will visit me one night and ... well um Ok that parts still between me and my beliefs  ;D ;D.

thanks for proving my point.

no wonder people are reconsidering posting in these threads/forum.

all i did was try and clarify an incorrect statement with actual facts.

and that's all it took to to start another pile on.

same old, same old.

hope everyone stays safe.

I just cant see how suddenly a church/synagogue/whatever becomes a workplace..... Surely all he had to say was that priests/pastors/whatever can set up video for transmitting....simple as that.  Not bashing the religious side...just the call..

people work in those churches/synagogues/other places of worship.  some of them even get paid.

why shouldn't it be called a workplace?  because of the tired old chestnut of not paying tax?

does it matter what he called it?  or does it matter more that it was the evil PM that said it?

if he didn't mention the church part, would you have even commented?

just another excuse for some around here to pile on.

we're supposed to be a forum that accepts all.  far from that, nowadays.

I went back and read all the posts about "the" subject, and honestly, if any offence was taken in regard to religion, someone has a VERY thin skin. The ONLY part I could see was a reference to churches not paying tax, which is a common known fact, so lets move on and forget the subject !!

So why mention it in a thread that has nothing to do with your link?

It’s the same old members, with the same old videos and links to make a subset of members feel just that little bit worse about themselves.

Some have said I have a thin skin.  Maybe i do.

But is pretty ****ed when we are all supposed to be members of a camping forum and different sections of society (not just religion) get ridiculed constantly.

All I did was clarify a point that was obviously made as a dig at religion.

Good luck to you guys.  Time to be off here.

I also see that there may be a change of ideas on the wearing of masks.    I wouldnt mind betting that very soon we wont be allowed out without wearing one....

My understanding is that it has always been a good idea, the limited supply is the reason they haven't told public to wear them, as then the health workers who really need them likely wouldn't be able to get them.

No sitting around home for me 8)
Two trips to Sydney & two trips to Brisbane.
We are flat out moving freight from one end to the other.Good news too.......... truck stops have opened up their showers and sit down table dining for heavy vehicle drivers only at most places again.
NSW/QLD border crossing is running smoothly with police letting trucks thru without stopping.

Does anyone honestly think this is going to be over in 3-9 maybe 12 mths??

I don't. I cant see how they can give the all clear until there is some form of vaccine - which is 12mths away according to some expert bloke Gov Co has employed as a mouth piece.
With what is being done here in OZ, I can see an end to it here as long as we keep going the way we are, but as for international travel, we should not allow people out or in until there is a vaccine and other countries are believing they are clean

Maybe it’s me just hoping

I try not to laugh with people stressing over being in a lockdown situation.

No one likes having control taken away from them and their behaviour shows. People need to understand that short sharp pain is better than long prolonged agony.

We have been working remote for 5 years. Isolation does not worry us. It is what it is.

How did you calculate your Kms?
Would be interested to see how many ks I did last year.
Just logged into my Velocity to see if they show the miles, but doesn’t look like they do it any more.
Also just realized why it’s so hard to keep my platinum status these days, I got the same amount points flying to Auckland as flying to LA.... ???

I just used a distance calculator for main legs. Guess you could calculate from points ?
