Does anyone know if Kakadu/Nitmiluk/Litchfield are open to visitors due to Covid 19 (Coronavirus) restrictions

Possible left and right hand issue. Feds have made entry to their parks free to encourage commerce, meanwhile NT gov wants to do a Tasmania to protect vulnerable communities. So who knows?

If they have shut down other communities I cant see why Kakadu is any different.  High indigenous population..

Hi,
The communities are not on tourist routes. They live privately in other areas of the park.

Yep, the only place you mix with the local aboriginal people is in Jabiru or their tourist ventures unless you get an entry permit. Lived there once upon a time, probably a good place to hide out as long as you stay well!
