It's been hiding in their factory for a long time while they have been developing and testing. I had a sneaky look at it last April when we were looking at the EXP-6. Just as impressively built as it's bigger brother, no standing room inside though?

Specs from their website -
Weight: 850kg
ATM: 1600kg
Axle Capacity: 2,600kg
Departure Angle: 42 degrees
Body Length: 4027mm
Total Length: 4995mm
Ground Clearance: 861mm
Max Height: 2080mm
Low Height: 1780mm
Width: 1903mm
Wheel Track: 1700mm
Brakes: Ventilated disc
Max Tyre Size: 37inch
Suspension: Bruder patented design, 12”inch adjustable wheel travel with correct geometry, 450 grade high tensile circular hollow section steel. Bruder specific 4x remote canister rose-jointed mono tube shock absorbers.
Body: Epoxy bonded closed cell composite up to 60mm
Water Capacity: 100L Internal body tank
Chassis: Air-tight & sealed (no holes) 125mm x 75mm with recovery winch mount.

They also do a full height (no pop-top) version of the EXP-6 now which greatly increases the internal storage space.

once my Powerball win comes in, one of the the smaller ones for short trips and the larger one for extended trips would be just fine thank you.

So it's basically a teardrop, but they do marketing very well! will be interesting to see the price, it should be a lot cheaper and therefore have broader market appeal.

I think the price will continue the trend of silliness. Why wouldnt they join the rest of the manufacturers with high prices

YMMV

By no means do I expect it to be cheap, but cheaper in comparison to the Exp-6 which I think is now about 150K with options

The Track Trailer Tvans have been in the silly price category for a long time and still sell well.   I reckon this Exp4 will be competing with the Tvan to a large extent.

fair call. the fact tis all 'shoot us your email for top secret price' points to it being high.

yeh... the (new) Tvans usually start around $56k. (but used ones popup from around $20k quite often)

I just saw that the BRS Offroad SHERPA, comes in at over $50k too. https://www.brsoffroad.com.au/sherpa-2/ (https://www.brsoffroad.com.au/sherpa-2/)

So I'd be really surprised to see any change out of $65k for the Bruder EXP-4.

Like I said... Powerball win...

havent seen that before..  looks like a sardine can with a foxwing for 50,000... ???
I guess I just dont get these tiny "cute" type trailers with the spaceage look to bluff users into paying insane prices.  Maybe seeing one in person would change my mind, but I doubt it

I guess I see more value in a used Kimberly Hardfloor with 20k change.

So it's basically a teardrop,

Looks like it.

But they still haven't fixed the number 1 issue that I see with every teardrop. The kitchen is exposed on the sides, anything more then a slight drizzle and you have to close it up.
I've seen people try all sorts of crappy ways to fix this issue, with most just resorting to setting up a normal old gazebo behind the teardrop.
I had high hopes that these guys would have thought of a great solution. Bit dissapointed with that one.

They look good , But my mate Murray was using composite, and rolling lobe air bags with nearly that much travel in his independent suspension he and his brother designed for his GulfLander Extreme CTs that he used to build well over 20 years ago, so nothing new, Craig

So Murray could pump up either side of the suspension from his phone in the vehicle?  And the suspension automatically leveled itself for camping?  Wow, pretty impressive for 20 years ago?

No that bit is new I must admit, but he had a compressor in the CT and a control bank to do either side, which had never been seen in Aus before at the time,

seems to be the future for many local manufacturers...one of the Lifestyle sales people mentioned to me they are currently trying expanding into overseas markets (not just the US)

In my ill informed opinion I believe that was a major part of the KK downfall (amongst other obvious things).
The Australian consumer was propping up heavily discounted Karavans going to the US market. Was never going to last.
They yanks where getting their vans delivered across the pacific for half the price you could buy one locally in Aus.

yeah I didn't mean it to be that it'll be successful future for them,  just that's thier hope....the yanks are used to things being much cheaper then we pay for them, so would be a tough market there also.

Guy up the road from me went from the Conqueror 490 to the full sized Bruder. Tow vehicle, Prado 150 with all the bells and whistles.
First trip, blows something in the engine, realises its WAY too heavy for the Prado, upgrades car.

Plans Around Oz Trip, the missus goes to pack and realises the storage capacity is significantly reduced from what they previously had.

So increased storage would deffo be a good thing I would imagine

When I was looking at the EXP-6 I was told (by Bruder) that less than 40% of production was local sales. Most were sold in Europe, UAE, and a few to USA. Production at that time was 1 per week, with an 8 month waiting list.

That was the number 1 reason we bought the Exodus instead.

I dont know why anyone would wait that long for a camper. plenty of options out there, plenty on the used market too.

there's plenty of vans on the market also, but nothing we liked in our price range (what I actually wanted started at $145K new and 5 year old similar was still over $100K)...find what we wanted exactly and we'd wait 8 months for it, like many others do.

XP4 price is just under 60k for a standard version with plenty of options to spend another 10k + on. Powerball win indeed!

Wonder if they would just sell a chassis and then I could put my own body/shell on it?

probably for 3 times the cost it would be to make it yourself or have it made at a steel fabricator.
