Seems like any time either side fields a large number of new younger guys they do well. My money is on the blues this year for that reason alone.

Gus was carrying on about the Maroons hard hitting defence and some of it was but you're not going to go too well overall with a total of 42 missed tackles for the match.

Gilly might have to up the training a bit.

Not only did QLD miss way to many tackles, the forwards didn't make many metres, McGuire from memory was only one to make over 100 m.
McCullough only ran 24m.

New playe like qld during the last 12 years, suck up the pressure through defence then score

Agree with the comments, but did anyone else notice the forward pass that NSW scored off? I know there will always be bad or incorret calls, but there were a few. But no complaints from the Qld team, they know they could have played better.  A good game.  Kevin

Plenty saw it ...except the ref.  However that's footy.  Happens to every team and no good sooking about it. I thought it was a good game to watch...fewer penalties and stoppages...reckon the refs were instructed to ensure thats how it went.

Agree with your sentiment, many seemed to mention that forward pass but little mention of the forward pass from dummy half to Ben Hunt  before he kicked resulting in their try. But that's footy.

I'm still trying to work out how the captain of Qld comes from the same local government area as the NSW captain and was marking up against his cousin from that same town. But I guess that problem has been fixed now.

+1.....Ridiculous that the upstairs ref cannot rule on a forward pass....

Just because a pass goes is caught in front of where it was thrown, doesn't make it a forward pass.
