The wife wanted a PlanterBeam for her gym but @ $600 delivered  :'( I wasn't happy about that so went about making one for her a bit of welding and some painting later with a total cost $60 it came out OK    8)       With some steel left over for my new work bench  ;D

Installed the Tyre monitor system & since there is no need for the cig lighter I installed a twin USB outlet with a volt meter.
The connection there is for the TMS, sunce the solar panel for the unit never gets to see day light.

Replaced the felt draft seals in some aluminium sliding windows and doors.

The originals were virtually non-existent.

Should keep the place a bit warmer, and help with gas bills....

From what i understand its used like a balance beam to help with foot leg and core strength with more angle added to make it harder
I've made it adjustable from level and then up at different angles just unpin it and change the height

Yeah, door snakes, drawing curtains, shutting doors to rooms not used.
And as you have done, window seals, even the stick on foam strips around doors, it all helps.
Besides keeping the cold out/heat in, it saves on energy costs.

Sure does...

The seals slide into a groove in the frame extrusion. Took a bit of searching to find the correct seal, but they are available.

Getting the new seals in ended up being very easy, but all the how-to's I found on the net were much harder than necessary....even the so-called pro's.... ::) ::)

Pulled the Pajero into the shed and retensioned the new drive belts I fitted the other month.
Removed the sounder and transducer from the boat in preparation for the new one.

That is cheap. I wouldn't bother getting the welder out at that price. Unfortunately, shipping would be a killer and it is for 2" Olympic plates. Ours are standard 1" jobbies.

My wife prefers the hex for the same reason. She struggles with form when deadlifting with a straight bar.

Finished restoring the first of 10 double sash, western red cedar windows.

Before (not the same window as the one we finished. I forgot to take a picture of it before we started )

These are on the front wall facing north. The two that are on the east wall are a lot worse .

After


Cleaning them up ready for coating is bad enough, but waiting 24 hours between coats of Sikkens is a pain in the butt as this adds 3 days, for each window pair, to the job.
Still, being retired AND isolated, we we’d only be sitting around reading I guess.
