Got in contact with my bike shop.
The first potential availability of the bike I am after is Q1 2023, if I am lucky as there are no spare ones.
So I went online and found a second hand model 22km away.
It's a 2020 model and only driven around for less then 100km.
The owner fell when he couldn't unclip himself when he stood still.

Thanks.
Now to decide on a MTB shifter to bring the right shifter to the left.
I found the Shiftmate 8 from JTEC which "coverts" the road derailleur ratio into the MTB ratio.
Meaning you can mix and match MTB and road gear.

yeah, slim pickings - I think BBB sell a MTB stem in the sizing I'm looking for that I found this morning from what I can tell, so may end up having to go that way

wait... 25.8mm?

or 26.0mm?

25.8 is old mtb, 26.0 is old road.

(we won't even talk about the Cinelli 26.4mm stuff)

Back in the days of both of those clamp diameters, anything shorter than 100mm was heresy. We were selling Control Tech and Ritchey and Syncros back then and the "big seller" lengths were 120, 130 and 140mm.

Just based of frame geometry back then... longer stems were needed for cockpit space.

then better get a pair of callipers onto it and make sure it's *only* 26.0 and not the rare 26.4mm bar.

That's a great find.  I wanted a 5000 or 6000 midway through last year and couldn't find anything around and minimal ETA information.  Managed to pick up a 4000 (105) at the right price brand new and haven't looked back.

My son had a ride on the track and decided he wanted to do it as a sport this year.

Found this 50cm track bike 2nd hand locally. Gave it a strip and rebuild, new tyres, tubes, bar tape, pedals/toe clips and it's ready to ride.

What, are those handle bars?

They're a little odd but seem to work for my son. They are standard on the bike.

Yeah, we're pretty happy - been waiting for Pushy's to 1. have them in stock, and 2. have one of their 15% off sales  ;D

We're going with Zwift and Rouvy... We got the Kickr Mat as well, it just hadn't arrived when I took that photo... Might still get some gym tiles to put under the Kickr mat, as I can't see the carpet liking it for too long, plus I reckon the bike will go through the Kickr Mat
