There is a unicorn, but I just tell the grandkids it’s a horse with a shell stuck on its head.

Replaced the 3 sets of blades on the Cox Cruz, only to do about 3/4 of an hours mowing and have the centre set of cutters, the bearing collapse and destroy the carrier and shaft, key and the pulley.
2 hours later, I got it all out & apart.
Mondays job will be to find replacement parts, If I can't get genuine parts.
Looks like I'm off to buy a mate a few beers, he's rocked up with his little Fergie and 4 foot slasher.

Fit a pole carrier to the neighbours Jayco Expanda ... Apparently doing up 6 bolts is hard?

Next weekend I have to put a 12v pump into it for him

Yes mate, that’s the plan. However I am building it as a 2.3L on a stroked crank, naturally aspirated on throttle bodies. I want that period correct sound and look rather than a turbo version. I have a few heads so may build a turbo version down the track if I get tired of all the noise, revs and drama of the N/A version 😂.

I managed to score a genuine head from the Andy Rouse EngIneer GRPA campaign. Power won’t be insane with our target around 240hp and 180/200 ft/lb of torque. Engine will be built for torque and I’m building it primarily as a road car. There is a thread on Escorts in here mate under the miscellaneous tab if you have a look quite a few swaggers have some cool projects coming along.
