It looks like the best unit on the market. If only I could fit one in my Kimberly Camper.
Are they a all in one unit design or is the  condenser and head unit sperate.

I been thinking of a portable a/c but I don't think keep the temps down to be worth having in the way all the time.

It was hot over chistmas and we are building ourselves a new camper asked the wife what else she would like in the camper and she said what about a air con
Heron 2.2 is reverse cycle air con so it will heat in winter as well

Well I know how hot and how COLD it can get over in WA, especially at night.
I'd say that looks like a goer on the size factor. Im sure if anyone can integrate it too make it look like it is supposed to be there, you can.  ;D
Just think, no more

George we used a portable refrigerated unit this summer to glamp at two CV parks. Given we have two under 4 years old it was the best money we spent all year.  Not sure about fitting one permanently but we have considered a webasto for winter.

Honda 20i should run this unit using a short lead
The wabasto is a nice unit for your heating and water a little pricey I thought. I think it would be hard to justify the price to our customers

Just got back for a week of camping in a heat wave in Qld.  Not much shade on the CP site we had.  Used a 12V fan but it just moved hot air around.  Found the best thing to beat the heat was to get down in the water during the heat of the day.  Sat on the water's edge under the beach umbrella.  We try to avoid CPs where possible and a gennie is out of the question in a lot of places but air cond does sound attractive at times like now.

I have succumb to the pressure and ordered a Herron 2.2 for my next van. I'll get a Honda or Yammy to run it. If it means i can go fishing more often, its a good thing and theres usually noone near us to be bothered about the noise of the gen anyway

What a great pic! Surely airconditioning a tent is like paddling out in a chicken wire kayak? And I'll bet they vote Greens and worry about global warming.

George,

Pretty sure Teabag had an AC unit on his old Jayco. No idea what it was though, or how effective it was. He used a Honda 2.0 gennie to run it, I believe.

Drop him a PM and pick his brain - I'm sure he'll be happy to fill you in on the details.

Cheers,
Matto

I have a few threads going on a cpl of forums about Herron 2.2 and Honda 2ui. Basically i had about 3 people with the Herron and the Honda confirm it was ok, ill try find the posts. Stonestomper guy was one of them, Teabag's was different i think from memory.

I spoke to Aircommand today and they did not recomend putting this unit in a camper unless I put some big holes in the floor for a air inlet, so thats not going to happen first river crossing and everything is gone.
So I will go on Gronks recomendation and harden the F up
