Welcome mate and like the set up. Not sure about the carpet though, especially with kids :)

Thanks mate, yeah I thought the same thing. :-\ That's why I used carpet squares (hard to make out on that photo) and simply cut them to fit.

I didn't glue them down, the rubber backing and the tight fit keeps them in place. When we have one of those "oh sh!t" moments with the kids, we just pull the affected squares up, hose them off outside, dry and replace.  8)

Seems to work well so far... Also makes it really easy when loading the camper while the top is down, protecting the floor surface and most importantly, keeping our bare tootsies off a cold floor ;)
