Hi everyone,

Thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself.

Usually a tent and billy kind of guy but with the addition of our two young ones to the family we thought we'd take a step up so we've just bought ourselves a 2013 Jayco Swan Outback.  :D

Only just took delivery of the camper late last week and still itching to get it out on the road! The missus keeps reminding me to "shut up about the camper already!"

Since we won't be able to get away for at least the next couple of weeks I'm stuck completing minor mods and drooling every time I see her sitting in my shed (the camper that is)  ;D

I have to say that these forums helped me a great deal in choosing my camper and the options I wanted/needed, so I've very grateful and thought that now I'm a bona fide camper trailer owner I better sign up!

Cheers,

J

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new CT.

My best advice is to spend more time showering swmbo with your time, attention (& gifts helps alot), than time you spend on your new mistress:-)

Happy wife = Happy life:-) the reciprocal is also very true...........

Lol, very true scarps!

She's also keen to get the trailer on the road to test her out.

Might bring some flowers home tonight though, for extra credits

be careful also to not overdo it as then you create an expectation that if you don't deliver on in the future can also get you in the sh1t. (Clearly speaking from lernings)

Surprise and moderation = reward and comfort

Welcome to the forum. Keep an eye out for any upcoming Tassie get togethers if you are interested in meeting new people.

I have to warn you though, they are all a bit weird, except me, I'm the only normal one amongst them ;D

Unfortunately the tow vehicle is a Commodore Wagon at the moment *pause for sigh*.

I managed to get the offroad camper across the line with the better half but unfortunately the tow will wait 12 months. A small price to pay for the rig I want... oh and that happy wife = happy life thing ;-)

So for now I'm a bit limited in where I can get to, although the wagon certainly has no trouble muscling the camper around.

Welcome - as you can see DannyG and Marcus73 are obviously insane but they are harmless and as mentioned keep an eye out of upcoming trips would be good to add another Jayco amongst the soft floors

Good work, hope the "cheese and kisses" enjoyed the intro to outdoor living. Always good to encourage the kids while they are young too.

Welcome to the forum and don't let the sanity level of some put you off the gathering ( I can say that 'cos I still haven't made it to one yet) ;D

Welcome and great setup mate.  The carpet looks good.  I got the foam carpet flooring but it doesn't look very neat.  The carpet takes out the chill when walking around in the colder months.
