Another Perth guy
« on: April 26, 2011, 04:52:03 PM »
Hi guys....

I thought I would sign up as my wife  Cat and I have just decided that we NEED a camper trailer after struggling with tents for years  ;D  Seems this is the best place on the net for info ect so ive come to do my research.  We are in Perth but love travelling as much as we can.

We have decided to buy a Trak Shak Majestic by the end of the year as it is the only camper we both agree is big enough for us and is 'future proof' for kids camping trips the way we like to do them. it tool all of our strength  and will power not to buy one at the caravan show the other month.  I like the boat loader and solar set-up and hopefully we can pick up a new one fully optioned with the kids room and annex and fridges ect.  We are also on the look out for used units but sometimes these do not have all the gear we are after and still command high prices.

The other real option for us is the camprite as my wife likes that too but I find that i like the layout and space of the trak shak better and more suited to the way we camp where we stay in one spot for a few days.

Anyway We drive a 2006 Landrover Defender Double Cab that I am slowly turning into a weapon and try and get out 4x4ing and camping as often as we can. heres a few pics of the truck

More info on my car is at AULRO where i usually hang out

http://www.aulro.com/afvb/members-rides/122740-2006-defender-110-double-cab.html

I look forward to learning more from you guys.

Cheers

Josh

G'day & Welcome.

So, what are you after, something to drag offroad for you and the wife, something to house a family? It will need a water tank so you can wash the grease off anyway  ;D.
