Title: Amazon Prime rip off.
Post by: glenm64 on December 15, 2017, 09:20:16 PM
I just checked my CC statement.
Amazon have billed me and signed me up to to their Amazon Prime subscription. Sneaky pr*cks, I have never signed up for their premium service. Its a monthly fee of $15.04 AUD they charge for a "premium" service, free shipping on certain products by certain sellers, I bet it will only be USA too.
If you use Amazon check your credit card statements. Good luck trying to contact them. Looks like I will be cancelling my account. Good riddens to the maggots.

Cheers Glen

Didnt that insurance mob YouI  get done for something similar recently ?   When enquiring about insurance quote they needed  your credit card details as part of it or something, they then signed you up for some sort of policy / fees . .

Contact them, I have had to deal with them once for warranty and their service was 2nd to none, I bought a mobile phone through them and had a issue (known issue for the phone) They had a replacement here in two days and I had a month to return the old one which they then reimbursed the return shipping costs. They tend to be known for good customer service.

I got an email back confirming cancellation, including refund due to non use of premium service.
Just wanted others that use Amazon to be aware.

Good to hear, still a bit of a mystery why you got it in the first place but good to see they made good.

Just wanted others that use Amazon to be aware.

Early this year I signed to the UK Amazon Prime service, in order to watch The Grand Tour. Due to travels I never ended up using it beyond the free first month. It got charged a month or two, and due to non-use they quickly refunded all charges after I queried.

Was very good service.
