Hey from Redcliffe
« on: February 02, 2011, 11:54:33 PM »
Hey all,
Im from Redcliffe, north of Brissy. I bought a "Red Hot" camper about 1 year ago now. Its an unknown brand, but had the basics I wanted for cheap. I have then added a fair bit to it. I find I am happy when I do stuff myself. I mainly camp on sand (Fraser, Morten Is, and Straddie) but will occasionally stay in parks ect.

Some of the mods I have include, 100Am Deep cycle. Several 12 V points, and lights, 80L tank, Pump ect, elect brakes, 2x 9l gas holders, 20AH battery charger installed, 12 V safety switch, 240 volt double pole points x 5, Safety switch (240v) and lights ect 3 x 6 Inch pole holders double full annex.

I am thinking about raising my trailer. I currentyl have 7 leaf springs, and can lift for more clearance easily by placing the springs on top of the axle, but then will have to modify my tent for the 6 inch raise. (If anyone knows a canvas worker near Brissy PM me)
Anyways hey all will update my sign and pics soon
cheers
Cory

If anyone knows a canvas worker near Brissy

Welcome to the forum.

There is a decent bloke down macdonnel road at clontarf.  He does annexes etc for cvans and I believe he also does campertrailers.  I have used him for a tanneu? Cover for another trailer - excellent quality.  Wasn't too expensive.
