Mallacoota open for business?
« on: February 15, 2020, 09:57:06 AM »
We were planning on going to the NSW south coast, Bermagui, Eden, then on to Mallacoota to spend some money in the fire affected areas. Does anyone have an update on whether Mallacoota is open for visitors, camping areas open etc. My wife tried to book the Beachcomber CP but it appears to be closed atm. Just wanted to spend a few days, toss in a line go to the pub. We understand that the NPs will be closed for some time.

As of Feb the sixth the road was re-opened in to the town, couple of the caravan parks are open, the Foreshore is taking bookings from the 19th. The Beachcomber has nothing o; their website saying they are closed.

Straight off the Foreshore caravan park website

We are pleased to advise that we will re-open the park by honouring existing bookings as at Wednesday 19 February 2020.
To best manage the arrival of our valued guests, and to support the community, we will re-open the park in stages:
Wednesday 19 February: Re-open Blocks 5 and 6 to current bookings
Friday 21 February: Re-open Blocks 3 and 4 to current bookings
Monday 24 February: Re-open Blocks 2 and 1 to current bookings
Wednesday 26 February: Re-open whole park to new bookings
Opening the park in the above noted sections allows us to ensure that upon your arrival we can meet caravan park regulation requirements, manage your safety and the safety of others.
Please contact us if you are not going to accept your existing booking so we can arrange a refund for you.
We are already accepting new bookings from March 1 2020 and all existing bookings will be honoured from this time.
