Camprite Kitchen cover
« on: January 02, 2011, 06:34:18 PM »
Hi all

Do any Camprite owners have a kitchen cover made up.

At the Perth show I heard Brad say they make up a cover, but haven't seen any pikkies on the forum of these.
Are they canvas?
Do you have to close the kitchen shelf to use it or does it cover the whole kitchen?
What about the L shaped pole over the kitchen?

Only interested because we woke up in Kalbarri once to find the kitchen covered in bird poo, and I have recenlty installed 12v outlet in the kitchen, it'd be good to keep it dry.

Have not heard of any, but what about the quick awning just 3 poles and will cover Kitchen from birds and dew, you can leave the awning zipped on when packing up . This is what I use  Digger

Send a PM to Broady, Mrs Broady made one up for theirs before they got the quick awning, not sure if he still uses it or not....
Cheers, Craig

Hi Chris,

I have gone through all of my older photos to see if i had a photo of the cover when its on the kitchen but no luck. Basically, i measured up the kitchen and made it from three pieces of marine vinyl. The front and top edges were sewn together, and each end (the vertical section between the hinges and through the tailgate latch area) velcroed together. Sorry i couldn't help any more than that.

PS: Use marine vinyl as it has a softer backing, is more durable with UV, and doesn't hurt it if it gets wet. It worked a treat.

Broady thanks for taking the trouble.
Will see what we can come up with.

Cheers.
