Coffee on the go, Product recomendation
« on: October 13, 2020, 07:39:59 AM »
Hi ya Swaggers.
I'd like to offer 1st hand experience recommendation for a 12 or 24 volt coffee machine for the car camper etc.
BUT!!!
This only applies to those of you who understand the simple joy of asking for an uncomplicated coffee in a European Café, as this machine makes European Coffee only, for the rest of you, the cups look like they came from a Childs Tea set and therefore can't be any good.....
I bought this machine in the travel pack last year in May or June, since then it has made about 2 coffees per day, 4 - 6 days a week.

https://www.handpresso.com/en/handpresso-auto-set-capsule-15.html

This coffee maker is not designed for this much use, yet, it has done it well. Now that it is starting to sound a bit warn out I have just bought the 24 volt Truck driver machine which I am yet to test.

The machine I have had takes the capsule type pods, easily found at the shops. I found the Coles "Urban" Brand the best as the casuals don't fall apart when in the machine. Yes, some split open inside allowing the granules to pass into the coffee which can be a Travesty!

The new machine I have now uses coffee pads (admittedly in Australia these pads are NOT in the shops but are available via internet coffee retailers). This larger unit also has optional extras to go with it which allows for a Cup of Tea to be made, Milk based coffee or normal pads x2 for that extra BOOST!
This link is for the 24 volt truck driver machine.

Now the extra for making other types of drinks, hot chocolate even.

There ya have it campers, an easy way to be a happy camper.....  :cup:

And his name is Dave.

Its cheaper from the guys in France. Some more Aussie firms are going to sell them soon, I originally paid about $270 for the 1st one.

I was gonna recommend this place....
