Led Lighting Kits Orange?
« on: November 15, 2014, 08:41:58 AM »
Hi guys looking at lighting for the camper and have been looking at the Korr kits they look the goods but why they don't have a orange light bar for the awning included seems kind of silly.

Any thoughts on orange light bars do they actually work at keeping the bugs away?

Fleabay whoflungdung brands make them[ not chinese apparently ]  http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Waterproof-LED-Light-2-Colour-Dimmer-Anti-Bug-Yellow-White12-Volt-1000-Lumens-/251433088455?pt=Caravan_Pa
As to whether they work couldnt tell you, the yellow lights seem to attract just as many bugs around our work place as the normal lights do .

You mean a yellow light?  I have heard varying reports on their effectiveness.  Personally, we don't find many bugs are attracted to our LEDs anyway.

we used a LED strip which had both white and orange light.

Using orange only seemed to reduce the number of insects somewhat... does it stop all of them? Not in my experience...

Cheers

I purchase one of those yellow ebay led strips a while back, the small flying grass things ??  seem to be attracted to that light more than the cool white led ones
All my life, I thought air was free...until I bought a bag of chips

Hi guys thanks for that just had a quick look again at Korr and its says the following:

Mixed LED colour kits available on phone request

So I may just get a yellow for outside anyway for ambiance, not sure if that was there before though didn't see it.

Are Korr a member of the forum, feel free to drop a line if you are :-)

Will give them a call over the next week.

I bought a yellow/orange one from Korrs. Really happy as it is easy on the eyes. Their white ones are really bright and light up a big area. I recommend them as well as McGirrs.
