Ava has to do a biography on an Australian who has influenced us and made great achievements for our country. We have looked at all the usuals, John Flynn MAry MacKillop etc, but are going down a different path.

Whilst his political stint wasn't all that fantastic, his musical and environmental influence cannot bee denied. There is some very interesting reading to be done about him.

This is definitely not his best vocal performance but the gravity of the message at the Olympic Games closing ceremony in 2000 cannot be ignored.

Gandalf....Petula Clarke was played often in our house during the sixties and seventies...a long with a lot of other stuff.
I've got this one as well....amazing how music heard in childhood later becomes a favourite again.

this song always gets me. was Army Reserve assault trooper with 4th/19th Lighthorse at the time...and had a thing for one of the female troopers!!
and currently listening to Soundgarden/Audioslave...since Chris has passed. being a Mopar guy, love the vid to 'show me how to live'.
