Tsk tsk consider your old fart audience Jeremy. It would have been seen as a compliment if directed to the 304s on OnlyFools-

I remember the commentators, & all the drivers, abusing him as he shouldn't have been out there in a car that couldn't handle it!

But he finished in 20th position and then drove the car home and sold it on Monday. He actually had a successful race career both in AU and Europe including racing open wheelers.

He acted as  a mentor to Mark Webber in his early days of racing as he was cutting his teeth in motor racing and then a bit later as  Mark was breaking into the European seen.

He is still going strong in his 80s and still has his prized possession a Porsche Turbo 930 and his even rarer Ferrari 275 GDB/4 one of like 300 ever made and one of a very few in Australia and worth millions these days

Hi,
From what I've read, 200Ah of lithium battery with solar and about 2 hours of driving should cover the average needs of most couples without a huge van .
Cheers

Exactly.
When we camped 2 weeks ago, we used induction full time for meals and coffee/tea.
For the dishes, we used the dieswl hot water system which works really fast.
Started with 100% charge, in 24 hours it went down to 83% of our 200Ah battery. So we used 34Ah.
With the 300W solar panels, the battery was fully charged again before lunchtime.
On our trip to brisbane, we are taking a butane stove with us as a backup.

General Discussion / SwagMail - Alice Springs to Katherine or Darwin
« Last post by wakychapmans on April 08, 2024, 10:22:15 AM »
Hey Team:

Got something I want to order from Supercheap in Alice Springs.

Supercheap won't do an internal transfer of stock to Darwin.

And Alice Springs won't mail it.

I can order and pay for it, but I need someone to bring it from Alice to either a business in Katherine, or to a private address in Darwin.

I particularly enjoyed seeing the king pass my Uncle Spencer Martin ripping around in the stock showroom Volvo.
