Thread gone stale, I am quite surprised there hasn't been a huge celebration of a certain "all-rounder" finally being pensioned off....surely he is gone for good now.  Ranks up there with Carlton finally biting the bullet and giving their coach the DCM.  To the national selectors: Thank you, albeit 6 years late!

Years ago I was fortunate enough to attend a '50 year Invincibles Anniversary' dinner with my Grandfather where I met Arthur Morris. His story's were fantastic as he recounted that tour. RIP

Was he pushed or jumped? He needs to go from Odis as well. I watch him last night, not sure he is seeing the ball anymore.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

"I've been very lucky to talk to a few people over the last month, but especially the last few days, who have just given me that little bit of clarity; my family, but one (close friend) in particular who went through himself in his career so he just provided a little more clarity about what the right decision was."

What's with all these reverse sweeps? Stick to 'proper' cricket shots.

Agreed, patience is a virtue. See out the new ball bowlers then have a hit, pretty simple really.

Wonder will Shabangabang walk away from this because the wicket isn't up to first class standard...?

Shit,  i left the pub they were 1fa. Mowed the lawn & just sit down with a stubby (drink that is) & check scores..... wow.
I was only thinking that this would be good series for new guys to find their groove,  not as emotional as an ashes series or against the curry munchers.

2 days for AU to get 10 NZ wickets. Only the rain will save the sheep shaggers.

Well the rain didn't save them. Let's hope they turn up to the next game...
