At least it was a good day (despite the rain). Still, looks a very flat track though. But good to see more runs than wickets. Hopefully our bowlers can do a bit better than theirs.

not sure about the healy reference.  i don't mind heals as a commentator.  at least he talks sense.

It is the commentators that put you off a lot of sport, the crap they go with.

Good to see Australia fielding so well and as I type they just dropped a sitter

And sadly the ABC commentary just isn't the same without Kerry O'Keefe.

Damien Fleming is another the ABC let get away, i find his commentary very insightful with just a dash of humour.

I agree that brayshaw may be there to make up the numbers, but has apparently played state cricket i think so not a complete bunny.

But really cant stand warney, they make him out to be the messiah, (must be because he did some horizontal folk dancing with Liz Hurley  >:D)

Yep Flemmo and Skull were the main reason I listened to the ABC. Kerry O'Keefe would speak for his commentating stint and wouldn't make one comment about the play he was watching!! And Flemmo - gotta love the avenue of apprehension! Or his club of 1 (Australian bowlers with hat tricks on test debut). made the test match even more entertaining!

One of my favorite Skull calls was when the late Phill Hughes was having a rough time against the kiwi's. He'd be caught at slip by Martin Guptil 4 time in 4 innings. Skull pipes up with "it P Hughes nicked himself shaving Guptil would jump out of the shaving cabinet with a bandaid"! Thought that was hilarious!

Great match, down to the wire.  What a player Kohli is. India's next superstar.  I like him

It was one of those matches where you didn't really want to see a loser.

However, being just a tad parochial, I have to say I was happy with the result.

And well done Nathan Lyon, often maligned, but bounced back, BIG TIME !!

Michael Clarke wants to be fit for Australia's World Cup campaign but admits the latest hamstring setback means there's a chance he "may never play again".

Australian captain Michael Clarke has ruled himself out of the remainder of the Test series against India.

He's done :(

“There’s certainly a chance I could never play again,” said Clarke after the match.
