discovered that if you place 39 cans of VB in to an Engal  , when you get to the last can you may or may not be over .05 . This would render you unable to drive to the Bottle Shop to purchase more  .
Its a long walk home  .
Haha. That would do it!!

Here's a bit of inspiration for you Shane.

I have huge respect for this guys "everything's repairable" attitude.

I've been watching that on Facebook. Very talented man.
Makes the job I just did look like a quick and easy repair  :D

So I've added this to my garage for reasons I'm not fully sure why?

2 owner deceased estate XF Ghia. Was first offered to me 2.5 years ago and came up for sale last week.  The price kinda made it attractive. Pretty original and untouched, a trip over a speed hump confirmed it has the original suspension bushes....

Is that the injected model?

Put my wood lathe bench back together and made a base with wheels to get it ouside to turn in the sunshine. Also keeps the shed a bit more dust free

I am trying to use up a very large bottle of pure argon thats costing me a fortune in rental, so I spent the weekend playing with the Tig welder in DC mode.

I always keep scrap steel so in this case I chopped up an old bunk set that was taking up room and made a Sim Racing Cockpit.......for the boys of course

It has to be painted obviously and we are going to make some small tweaks but it works well. Its not allowed to stay inside though apparently  :police: Should be good fun on Bathurst day in the shed.

EDIT: The open pipes on the monitor platform are to take side wings for the outside monitors....it uses 3 monitors that sort of wrap around you to give a wider view. I didn't have them set up but Ill get a pic when its all done.

At the moment we have pulled out the old trusty logitech that I've had for years but the boys want to upgrade to a more modern set up. The computer is some fancy gaming thing the young bloke uses. It has flash lights and water cooled graphics cards and all the things I couldn't afford when I was back in my hey day ;) It runs everything I've thrown at it ok so far.

I used to race in leagues myself years ago when GPL and NASCAR 4 was all the rage, I don't get time to put the effort in that it requires these days. This is mainly for messing around with mates etc. None of us can drive for s*&t now. We do more arcade type stuff than simulation now.

Lol. Yeah cool. My pc is nothing flash, need to upgrade, but I love the sim racing. Although it does tie up a lot of time.  But the leagues I race in are more about having fun then serious stuff.

Playstation mainly for me for racing enjoying project cars at the moment.
Played a bit of Iracing last year but you have to put a fair bit of time in to stay quick..

My rig I built a while go now would like a curved benq monitor for it but money is being spent elsewhere at the  moment.

Unfortunately yes, unleaded too.  So it has the idling issues they're renowned for...

Plan so far is to source good white boot and bonnet replacements. Steering, bush, brake overhaul and dump it with a set of ultra low springs.
If I still like it then. A mate has a complete 95 NF V8 Fairlane for cheap.  So an EFI Windsor and 4 speed auto conversion might be on the cards.

I don't do to much online racing on the console for that reason just  race AI at 100 percent makes it tuff.
