Hot humid Corindi beach.NSW. Had a nice ThunderHead dump a decent bit of rain overnight, woke to an overcast cooler morning. Now waiting for the humidity to blume.Went Chrismas light searching with the grandkids and was surprised to find a massive lit up Drive through light display...
Must say about 30 + percent of Corindi is taking part in lighting up the town .. Some very well done displays too .

Have you done the coal mine tour? I wouldn't mind checking that out.

Many, many years ago... Even helped rebuild a couple of the buildings...

These days the town is for tip runs and shopping - the olds have 70 acres out towards poowong, last Christmas here before they sell up

Just got back from 10 days on Fraser Island.
I know it’s not exactly where I’m logging in from right at this moment, but my phone stays on flight mode while I’m on holidays these days. Apparently “Out of Office” means nothing if they see that little green dot pop up beside your name on work apps.

It was awesome to be offline for a while and just focus on the family and soak in nature for a change.

Broken Hill, leaving tomorrow for Bourke then Cunnamulla. Got some RAT test kits today so after the 1st we can use them and not wait forever for PCR test.
Left Beri SA on Monday with my Bro Jock from WA following, did a day trip to Menindee as he has always wanted to see the lakes. Today we went out to Daydream mine, can thoroughly recommend the tea and scones, didn’t do a tour
, then went to Silverton, checked out the Mad Max museum then out to Mundi Mundi lookout. Nice day out.
We are killing time till after 1st.
Cheers

Cheers Bird, we cruised around a couple of lakes , went to the Maiden Hotel for a beer and lunch, about 1 and half hrs for lunch, it was nice but they were slammed. Didn’t go out to Kinchega.
Hope you’re able to get out and about soon.

Hey Rob,
Following your travels on FB.
Cheers for the updates.

I like old cemeteries, they are interesting places with some interesting stories.
Last year on our CNR trip, on the way back we stopped at Lightening Ridge, Fysh & I spent about two hours walking through the Cemetery there.
Bird, If every ya get the chance, St George(gld) Cemetery has heaps of interesting stuff.

Ipswich Showgrounds for an overnighter. Heading south to the mid north coast of NSW. Had our booster this morning, so by the time we get home in two weeks time, we should be able to travel virtually anywhere and suffer whatever consequences we are in for, for xxx amount of time.🤪
