Hi everyone, I recently purchased the above camper and the family loves it. The only problem that we have with it is when it is in the closed mode, the matresses get wet both ends, and it doesn't when it is erected! Has anybody out there had the same problem and what is the solution to rectifying it? Hope to hear that there is a fix for this. Cheers Steve.

is it packed away with wet canvas or are you suggesting the roof leaks
-
I pack it away dry. What i don't understand is when i have it set up i cant seem to find any leaks at all. I'm thinking that when the roof is pulled down, maybe the roof gets stretched or twisted and that opens up a split or or join that isn't sealed properly?? Cheers Steve.

check the vent has not popped open slightly if not hit all the joints on the roof as well as sail tracks with a new bead of sealant

Try the Jayco forum. Usually someone has had similar problems and will have an answer.

G'day Steve. I have an 05 Dove Outback, and the same thing happened to me. I scraped out all the old sycaflex (?) from around the skylight and all the putty down the joins and replaced the lot. I haven't had a problem since, and that was about 2 years ago.
Cheers

Thanks for all the info. Had a closer look at the roof and the sealer on the joints looks dodgy so I reckon that'll be the problem. Cheers Steve. ;D

I was told by a guy from jayco that all joints/seals should be re siliconed every 7 years or there abouts.
Big job. Took me 4 weekends to do our Eagle.
