Be careful with the grip tape...............I added some to the top of our sliders and everyone would slide out of the 4x4 and tear up their calves on the grip tape    .
Ended up removing it to stop the loss of blood and screaming from all involved

Lyndall used to complain about that too. Eventually her calves wore the grip off so i never bothered pulling it off. Dogs never complained though, go fiqure!!

I got mine done as steps.....something to stand on.
Never understood why they need to be wrapped up close to the sills.
A bit of extra clearance is good....

After ordering a new 21.6m x 9m shed in early January, it has finally been approved, erected, concreted and now the power has been connected.

In the coming weeks, the concrete floor will be painted, and the bathroom completed, then I will be able to start using my dream shed... 

Now the shed floor has been painted, it has come up a real treat! This is the ultimate man cave!

Well I don't have a shed unfortunately -- but I will be moving the van out from under the carport at the rear of work today. ...

It's like a dust bowl out there; and the van is looking quite dusty and muddy etc....

Going to give it a major washing and detailing  ###  and then I'll be taking it to its new home for the next 3 months ###  a lockup I have rented out for $600 for the next 3 months.....

Not happy about spending the money ###  but with the lockup -- at least I'll have a shed-like area to prep it for our Christmas trip....

I am so sick of packing up the van and the ute on the actual morning of our trips; (sometimes in the drizzle or rain   grrrr....)

One time we had to throw in everything quite wet; throw in a heap of our bath towls and go to an underground carpark in the next suburb - pull it all out and towel dry it all and repack it; (before the trip could get underway)....   

Packing the van and the ute for the holiday normally has to be done on the side of the (major arterial) road; the next block past the house;  (only available area). 

So having the lockup will make all the difference....

I have been using it to store the Tractor, Boat, Camper & Trail Bike in there for a few months, but not much else. I had to wait for the concrete to fully cure before painting, so didn't want to fill the shed up with stuff, only to have to pull it all out when painting the floor.

As we don't live on the property yet, I haven't had a massive need to set it up with benches & shelving yet, however, we are getting closer to moving into the new house, so I am slowly filling it up.

Benches and shelving is next on the list.

Took approx 3 hrs to build, a good hour of that was spent drinking beer and talking crap. Held on by 2 x U bolts and 2 x J bolts on the sides. I also use 2 x Just-straps on the furthest wheel loops that fix to solid mounts on the front chassis used for stone deflector. This stops dynamic rotating load being held by the spring bolt. I only use the straps when fully loaded with bikes.


Uses a 50mm square axle stub, flangeless hub and ISI weld on boss with 65mm hole cut into the weld on plate to fit the hub.



The whole unit rotates and locks at 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees, suiting any situation.



This spot was taken up by the spare tyre carrier, which means I now need to build a swing away carrier for the rear of the camper.

Got around to fitting my Rhino Pioneer platform today. Had to fit the ARB internal frame to support it. Then fitted my Father's Day pressing at long last. Great bit of gear the Rhino.

It's so I can mount an ISI 4x bike rack to camper trailer and still access the kids on camper front box. I take ISI hitch receiver means one of the less crazy adults can run a car shuttle up the hill all day! Kids never like riding up hills!
