A big storm front is moving from the Tablelands across to the coast atm.

Warnings have lit up across all outlets, RFS, SES, BOM.

You don't use magic to disappear, all you need is a 4wd & a Swag ;)

Yeah, crossed the range with little punch.
Sun peaking through the clouds now.
Just rain now, no wind at all.

Thats not uncommon for Bells Line..... I can remember early 90's riding through exactly what was in the video on the way to Eastern Creek GP. Talk about drowned rats on that ride.

Absolutely bucketing down here in Brisbane now. Just come back from taking Teddy to obedience class.... I felt sorry for all the poor Uber Eats riders I saw on the way home.

Pilbara gettin hosed

https://www.watoday.com.au/national/western-australia/live-cyclone-damien-closes-in-on-wa-coast-with-pilbara-on-red-alert-20200207-p53yw7.html

Now Damian has blown out he is providing good rains through the Pilbara and down into the Gascoyne. Some people I know of were overjoyed to get a good drink from the previous cyclone, now they are getting a follow up. Nearly 50mm at Wiluna today.

Should be a good wildflower season for those of you into that short of thing.

Looks like trying to predict this one is like trying to predict the extent of Climate Change.  (said with a touch of sarcasm)

It needs to do a harder right hand turn in the next 2 days.

Something like the light orange CP15 forecast is perfect for my surf trip this weekend..... ;D

One of them - 15SH NP05 (whatever that means! ??? :D), looks like it basically comes over the roof of our house! :o

& in regard to "Drought to Flooding Rain" (neither of which extreme we've had, I'll [very happily] hasten to add!), I entered yesterday's 53mm into the spreadsheet, which pushed our rainfall for YTD 2020, 35mm past the 2019 total amount :o

We've also already had about 60% of our average annual total - looks like this may be a wet year to compensate for the last couple ???

That 2020mm figure is around the yearly average for Cairns...and we are tropical. Record is 3200mm for a year.  You,ll either have a very wet year ahead or you have had your fill of water!!

Woops, sorry - worded that badly :-[

So far for Year to Date 2020, we have had 726mm, against 691 for all of 2019.

Our average is 1183mm.

Yeah, I know - nothing at all in comparison - even our wettest year (1949mm), you'd call a drought! :D

Ya had me worried.   I was going to start a petition calling for a pipeline to be built from your area and pump the water North!!!!!
