Very proud parent moment this week.
Our oldest, Laura, Took out  first place in the Overall Steer section at the Casino show. :cup:

They ( Maclean high school) took out the first two places in the junior judging section with 4 out of the 6 finalists were from Maclean High School.
The kids are over the moon with all their hard work thru the year starting to pay off.

Next week they are off to Lismore and in 5 week time heading to Tamworth.

We are all proud of the way they conducted themselves

+1 but I fear they have bigger challenges ahead of them-

A big smile ? you betcha  :cup:
Our Maclean high school cattle show team kids ( all 28 of them) did themselves so very proud with some outstanding results this week at the North Coast National at Lismore show.

My daughter with her Supreme class Steer champion and reserve Steer champion in show  :cup:

Our school Class Heifer champion Speckle Park

Our Maclean High School Cattle Show Team with the cattle judge.

We are so very proud of these guys who not only came home with 17 ribbons for the week, but took out the best school show team ( there were 14 schools showing cattle) and also took out Reserve Grand champion in show, for which in the North Coast Nationls history had never been done by any school until this weekend !!! This means they actually beat alot of breeders who do this for a living.

Every school kid from every school did an exceptional representing their schools and i think the future of agriculture is in good hands judging by the way they conducted themselves and the high level of support these kids are getting.

Cool.
Funny Shit.
Facebook just jailed me, for quoting  in an Australian group.
They asked, Quote a line from an Australian comedy, that most won't get.
I relied, "Bloody Wogs, coming here taking our jobs"
Boom I'm gone for 24 hours.

Edit, FB, It is a hate speech.
I'm a bad boy, so I get banned, but as a moderater of a couple of Groups, I can still approve/reject posts. ;)

old but gold!

An Australian man has been charged by police after driving a light plane down the street and parking it at a pub while he went inside for a beer.

Police in Newman, Western Australia said the 37-year-old man endangered the life, health and safety of residents.

The man had allegedly bought the wingless Beechcraft two-seater aircraft from a private residence and was taking it home when he stopped for a drink.

The engine had been left running making it a danger, police said.
Local residents were amused to see the sight of a plane parked outside a well-known local spot.

"On the way back through town... here's a plane parked outside the Purple Pub," Newman resident Beau Woolcock told ABC radio.

"Even more special was seeing one of the local coppers poking his head in the door of the plane looking like he was asking for a licence."

However, police said the incident endangered the lives of local residents as the propeller was left spinning.

"Kids were coming home from school. It could have been very ugly. All he needed was one gust of wind ... because without the wings, it's not stable," said Newman police sergeant Mark McKenzie

"People think it was a bit of a laugh but it was very dangerous and we're not very happy with it."
