ust checking in,gothere at last
« on: October 27, 2023, 08:23:23 PM »
Been trying to find a dedicated group of people that enjoy their choice off camping vehicles.

ME Well  I drive a 2004 dual cab Hilux v6 VZN 167R which has done 300.000 km now, is auto and sorted out to be an off grider...
I tow a Camp O Matic Wanderer  1996 model GL series. And am an West Ausi living in SA ??????

Have had trouble finding out about this type of camper ( data in the way it built and different configurations off setup) as I have only owned this one for 2mths now …Will include pics at later date.

Cheers all have a good break summer is on its way at last, rodoricho

Our first camper was a Camp O Matic Ranger, brilliant old camper and as tough as nails, I'm sure you'll get years of good service from it  :cup:

 to subject at hand.

THANKS EVERYONE,
I have a bit off work to-do on mine to make it good but time is only my enemy sometimes.   8)
My old 80 series, I've had since 2005, it was stock.
Our camping setups, and the 80 have changed over the years.
Now the kids are adults, they have their own setups.
Atm, we have an old camper matic rear fold camper, with solar, 70lt Fridge/freezer, which is great for longer stays.
The 80 series  now has,  300W of solar panel on top, 270 awning, 3x3 awning on the drivers side, start battery, second aux, third agm 120ah,  3" lift, upgraded from 15" to 16" tyres. however we also have Swags and the Criuser has solar, 85lt up right fridge, which is great for a weekend, couple of days camp.
Our camping setup has changed so much, and it keeps changing.
As long as you are out there, enjoying this great country, ask questions, share, enjoy.
Happy Days. :)

Did you make any progress on this? I'm a bit slow catching up on a few posts. My solution would be to pull one of the shocks off and check the open and closed 'eye to eye' measurements and go from there; as often various other vehicle/RV shocks can be used.
Is it a case of you know the current shocks are defective or do you have other issues?
