Coleman canoe, how much?
« on: January 04, 2011, 11:14:55 AM »
Hello all just enjoying a holiday at tuncurry and have seen a colmane canoe for sale, I have been looking at home for one but haven't looked that good yet to know what they are worth. Any help would be helpful. It has two seats rod holders seats with attachable backrests on the seats a few scratches and two paddles. Can anyone tell me approx what it would be worth. There asking $1300 thanks
Cheers, Ryano

That is about right I think, have seen them around $1000+. They're pretty heavy, would you be able to handle it on your own?

If you are looking for a two up fishing platform then a plastic sit on top is cheaper and lighter.

I have a Stingray from this manufacturer and it paddles and fishes easliy.

The Colemans are good if you have an outboard for them, otherwise they are heavy to transport and paddle.
I got a sweater for Xmas, really wanted a moaner or screamer.

Yeah, I meant getting it on and off the camper or Cruiser, not the paddling.

A lot of them are difficult to get on and off on your own, given the shear height of your vehicle and camper.  We have a double sit in Kayak and its not heavy but its heavy when you are lifting it up to get it on the racks.....canoes tend to be a lot heavier no matter the material
