Thanks all for the welcome, just looking now for camper, have been reading every thing I can for the mast month, and now more confused than ever, budget for trailer is around $8000. Looking at mdc trailers was wondering what others thought about them (or any other make)I know they are Chinese but what is quality like and other components ,saw video of them on trip to the top end, seemed ok but when laying out money want to be sure and confident, thanks in advance.......Pat

Welcome Pat,

Make sure that you do your research on any type of CT. You may have opened old wounds with the MDC option but look at all types new & old so that you will be happy with what you select.

Welcome to the forum Pat.

Making the choice of camper can be a really hard one. You've obviously set your budget and the next thing would be whether you want new or second hand. There are quite a few great quality second hand units available lately within your budget, but also some reasonably good new ones. Take some of what you will no doubt read on here with a pinch of salt as quite often when it comes to the old Australian built vs Chinese, there is quite a bit of tension. I personally think that the final decision will come down to how exactly you intend on using it and what suits you best. I myself have an Aussie Jay's which I've been extremely impressed with the build quality. So do your research and ask as many questions as it takes to make you feel comfortable with your decision.
