Title: Which trolley jack?

I'm after a new trolley jack. My old Repco 1400kg is not coping with the weight of the Ranger.

Budget is $200, No need for a pro-style one but I'm happy to pay for one that is sturdy. Needs to be able to lift my Ranger to easily change a wheel, without needing a block of wood spacer like my old jack. I'm guessing a 1800-2000kg rating is sufficient?

Anything to look out for? Any brands to stay away from? Any recommendations?

Get 1 that lifts the project to a new height  .&   or with wood blocks that help the lift  . Oh Yes do it safely  .                             Then have  :cheers:

I've got this one.  Tradequip. Steel/aluminum, quick lift and weighs 25kg.

On special at the moment too!

I’ve been keeping my eye out for the ones mentioned, trying to snag a bargain. Repco had 30% off today but the didn’t have any in any of the stores. Supercheap had nothing I liked, checked out total tools. By chance I saw one I liked, ex display and discontinued. $88, down from $189!!! Couldn’t say no at that price...

I bought a tradetools jack a few years ago and it leaks like buggery now.  I tried  to get a seal kit from tradetools and they don't supply them which is kinda ordinary as I now have a boat anchor.  I'll strip it down before I bin it to see if I can bodgy something up that may pass as a fix.  Needlessly to say my next trolleyjack won't be a tradetools one.

That’s a bugger. Quality can be hit and miss, my $29 1400kg Chinese trolley jack has been going for 10+ years, only upgrading as it struggles trying to lift the Ranger.
