Same as Uranium, we can mine it, we can process it, we can export it where it is out of our control as to how it's used, BUT use it here for generating electricity , NO FLUKING WAY
Hmm, we are Screwed.

All this Smart technology, think about this.
They can switch you off in an eye blink to your electricity, your internet, your banking, your fuel supply.

Our government wants us to become reliant on Green electricity, renewables, because "It's environmentally friendly"
It's control.
Let that sink in.

You don't use magic to disappear, ya use a 4x4 & Swag.

After my 20+ year old 50L weaco started freezing everything regardless of temperature, I still haven’t got round looking at it to see what the fix is. So I bought a secondhand 40L coolman for $150. It lasted 8 hours into my wife’s drive from Brisbane to Emerald (Central Queensland)
So I bought a kings 50L escape compressor fridge for $220. So far it’s been in the canopy of the Amarok since about August last year, I use the Ute every other week for about 4 days. I have a cheap 105watt solar panel supplying a 25A dcdc charger to a 120amp AGM battery. So far it has performed almost flawlessly, well the fridge has. Set to 3c it hasn’t missed a beat, but the plastic insulation may be a little thin, as on one very hot Brisbane sunny day above 40c it came very close to flattering the battery. I didn’t monitor it very closely but at 3:30pm with the solar panel in full sun and a small amount of ventilation in the canopy the battery voltage was 11.6V so pretty much 20% well below the voltage I would like to let my AGM batteries get to. I plan on putting a 200w house panel on the roof, that should eliminate any future issues. To be honest I haven’t had an issue since because it hasn’t been that hot since. I also have put a cover on the fridge to add to the insulation.

let's see now. Our ARB 65L was killed in the great garage flood of 2021. (once again... **** YOU NRMA)

But the little Waeco 11L console fridge in the 105 series continues strong.

before we headed remote we snavelled 2 x 73L dual zone Ridge Ryders at $1.00 each. (yes... one dollar)

they've both been running non stop since December. Not a problem. One is on a dropslide in the 105 cruiser and the other at the foot of the bed in the van. (one of these will make it's way to the footwell space in the back seat of the Troopy)

We just bought a XTM 12L console fridge from Supercheap a few weeks back for $180 on sale. (identical to the $699 Snowmaster) it will perfectly between the seats in the new (to us) 2018 Troopy.

The Troopy is coming with an EvaKool drawer fridge in it as well.

Oh and we have a very old Waeco 60L upright in the rebuilt van.

Just read an article about a Boss of Geely , a Chinese Auto . He used the rouse of attending a European Auto Salon to spirit his entire Family to the US, it is said his Company is 40 BILLION $ down the tube ! Big Manufactures like BYD and so are subsidized and will get bailed out , but the writing is on the wall for EV'S becoming the mainstay , one only has to read the latest pronouncements from MB,Vw,Toyota , GM and a host of others to see this . Albo stop subsidizing/Pouring Billion's of Taxpayer funds down this Sinkhole !

And we sell our top grade coal to others to burn, yet we are shutting our power coal stations.

Yeah and the energy grid is under pressure now, so how the fork does that work if you triple that power drain in the current climate of power supply?  ::)

Doesn't SA pull power from the "National" grid due to not having a reliable source of power supply?  ???
