Logged onto my Yahoo email tonight and got this message to upgrade to Gmail... Yahoo mail going??
No warning emails and google didnt come up with much....
Add Gmail to your Google Account
By completing this form, you're upgrading to Gmail, email from Google. Gmail works on any device, blocks spam, and much more.
You'll be able to sign in using your new Gmail address, which will become the primary email address associated with this account. We'll send account updates, invitations, and other notifications to your Gmail address.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@yahoo.com will become an alternate email address on this account, and you'll still be able to sign in with it.
If you prefer, you can create a new Google Account with email, and leave this one as-is.

Does the link run through to a legitimate Google page?
It looks like a phishing email (albeit well done) for account log on details, and has perhaps targetted Yahoo users as they are often an older user base in Australia.

You know about the source info behind the message don't you Bird?
Shows the Senders IP and any real email addresses that messages are fwd. to.

I only use Yahoo mail and haven't got any notification. I'm also running adblocker add-ons in Firefox, but logging on through Edge I didn't get any messages.
Are you running the old version, or did you upgrade to the new version? I'm still on the old one as I found spam blocking too hard on the new one, so that may be affecting things, but I doubt it.
I'd be inclined to think its a phishing email too. If they had bought out yahoo and wanted you to change then they they will just migrate your account, the website appearance would start to change and they will redirect your mail.
