Hi from the Scenic Rim
« on: January 19, 2015, 02:38:11 PM »
Hi there all,

Another long time lurker, first time poster. I created an account a little while ago, but had a busy end to the year and never got around to posting an intro.

We're just at the start of our camper trailer journey. We have two kids, aged 6 and nearing 2, and have just moved back to Qld after nearly 13 years away. We really want to show the kids more of the great outdoors.

I joined this forum as a way of doing a bit of research in to camper trailer options that might suit us, and have just returned from our first week away in a camper trailer; in this case, it was a rental Lifestyle walkthrough camper trailer. We thought we'd try a week with a camper trailer to see how it suited us, and let's just say we're all hooked!

We hope to pick up our own camper trailer in the next few months along with a better tug, and get ready to start making the most of them both.

Thanks to all for the huge amount of great info on this site. Hopefully one day I might know enough to contribute a few useful things of my own!

Cheers
stu

Welcome to MySwag, not sure if you want a new one but the classifieds have some bargains of pre loved and modded trailers

Thanks all.

GG - we're actually pretty keen on used... seems a good way for us to get good value and Australian canvas within the budget we've set. There seem to be a couple of tempting options there at the moment, too.

We're near to Beaudesert. Definitely looking forward to getting out there and seeing more of the great spots nearby, so might see you out there some day!
