Time to travel Australia
« on: October 01, 2015, 11:05:43 PM »
Having travelled over 30,000 miles around the USA in a 5.9 litre Dodge Ram truck towing a 40ft fifth wheel trailer we have decided to take the plunge and buy a camper trailer and travel our great land. We have met so many great people in our USA trips and hope to do the same in Australia. We have opted for a camper trailer as we are to young to just do the highways as we want to travel the roads less travelled and camped.

Sorry for the mis conception, we are Aussies and will continue to return to the USA as it such a great place, remembering we travelled there and avoided the tourist hot spots on most occasions. The people are fantastic. We have plenty of time as we are both retired, camper is on order. I will post on the camper thread for that.

We also did a blog for those iterested.

Welcome aboard R&R

I had a squiz at your blog...     You guys are livn' the dream!   ;D

Loved the pic of your monster rig & tug...   No wonder you need 5.9L to get around

The pic of the supersized lunch that comes with the USA; made me smile...    (My Asian friends here in Australia always say how big an Aussie serving size is / will usually feed 2 of them...)    ;D
You get out and in to the world -- you take more @#&$. …You climb a little higher, ..you take less @#&$.  …Till one day -- you're up in the rarefied atmosphere -- and you've forgotten what @#&$ even looks like….  Welcome to the layer cake son.
