2015 CT Insurance (off road)
« on: March 04, 2015, 03:10:42 PM »
I WAS insured with TCIS here in Adelaide for my 4wd, due to the company recently being taken over by the American giant Gallagher/Bassett their premiums have sky rocketed. I'm now insured by Shannons who have the same coverage except for outright salvage rights with a $300 saving in premium.

I'm not keen to go back to TCIS for our camper trailer, is there any other insurers to get a quote from that will cover for off road/remote recovery etc besides CIL and GIO?

I use RAA - they are happy to cover for off road.

I have used the RACV for my 30+ y.o. box trailer for all that time.

When I (relatively) recently converted it into a basic CT, my premiums went up by about $20 p.a. for about fifteen times the agreed value.

Current cost is around $180 p.a., and covers recovery and $1,000-1,500 possessions as long as locked in the trailer tub.

Thanks bird. I used it and came up with CIL and GIO. Just wondered if there are others as the 2 mentioned were the only ones found.
Thanks for your help though.
Cheers
