Aahh, the old Stockton....not that it matters which beach...they might be surprised if they let their tyres down ( right down ) it "might" get along the beach....but young blokes from the city generally have NO idea !!  ;D

With 6 inches clearance, letting his tyres down doesn't do diddly... LOL
4.2L TD Toyota Troopy, (Clarke's Country Camper Trailer, softfloor.) sold it and bought a Avan Ray small poptop caravan. I miss being able to acces the little tracks off into the scrub.

Perfect timing for that one Matt....

Avis at Melbourne airport was a disaster this morning. People lined up across the street and no cars ready for anyone.

Old mate behind the counter was just grabbing whatever keys he saw and assigning them to the next person in line.

My i30 that I booked suddenly turned into an M series BMW.... ;D

I snatched the keys out of his hand and bolted out of there before he could change his mind.. :)

Been driving around Melbourne like a real asshole all day.... :cup:

Agree it looks more like a great white than a Tiger, but still.
That's just a half grown one.

I am surprised they got that bit right...

Must have been be a slow news day.
Our bay area is apparently a tiger shark breeding area.
They have drum lines off 8 beaches.
Wow... They caught some sharks. Not really news.
Especially when 2017 catches are down 30% on 2016 and 2016 had a bigger  shark (4m)

Yeah, the 3 week reccee trip is still on and then we'll evaluate everything from that point on.

Should be a hoot, 20 hour flight, jump in a rental and plow down the road..... what could go wrong?

The eagle trying to grab the blokes fish reminds of a trip about twenty years ago at Lake Tyers in Vic, I was reeling in a bream across a shallow weed bed and an osprey swooped and grabbed it, I couldn't cut the line quick enough, lost about 50 m of premium line and the fish.
