Title: How dry is it where you are?
Post by: Pottsy on February 20, 2018, 02:20:54 PM
Total of 7mm of rain for 2018 against 115mm for the first two months of last year.
20kms south of Adelaide.
Could do with a bit of rain.

Hopefully something develops from the moisture feeding in from the north west over the next few days.

Not in your neck of the woods....
It’s been what, 45 minutes since it’s rained down there. ???
Though I suppose it had better rain soon, another 20 minutes or so and she’ll be up in flames again... ;D :)

Up until 5 days ago we had only received 100mm so far this year, which was about 1/3 of the average for Jan/Feb around here.

The last few days have nearly doubled that total, so no complaints from us.
But that’s sure to change come September/October.

Sorry, someone had to....

Not bad here. You're never that far from rain in Coffs Harbour.

starting to dry out a little but with a storm moving across this afternoon/evening it is cool and wet.  Realising how much I miss a rainy night.

Perth had a major rain event back in mid January. More than 100mm in a day breaking all sorts of records.

Nothing since which is, of course typical for this time of year. They are  tipping  a storm tomorrow but not a Brisbane type storm, just a few mm.

What is not typical is the temperatures. We have had, I think, two days over 38C since December 1. Just day after day of low to mid 30s with a few high 20s for variety.

Few people are complaining.

Here in southern Brizvegas we've had 175mm between 7am Friday and 7am Saturday. Time to break out the gumboots again :)
