Title: Hi, New member with a GIC extreme off road camper.
Post by: dvs4x4 on August 08, 2017, 07:08:00 AM
Hi!

I've just signed up and thought id introduce myself. I'm John, I live in Melbourne and I've got a 2010 GIC extreme off road camper which I bought second hand a few years ago. Its had a couple of improvements over the years and its a great trailer. The previous owner but a tool box on, a deep cycle battery in and wired up some sockets, a water tank with external hand pump and converted the bed/lid to a lift up unit.

But that is really it. I've fitting a square hitch receiver to the rear of it to fit the bike rack, some extra power sockets but that is it. I have an electric water pump and a large water filter to go on but I am trying to find the best place to fit them.

I have a young family so our trips are not too long or far away.

The furthest we have traveled is to Dimboola over Easter and explored a bit of Little desert national park, but usually we go to Kurth Kiln as its close to home and its great for a weekend away.

I'm keen on doing some further improvements on my camper and share info ETC.

I'm hoping to find some info on what other people have done to there campers.

Chat to you all later!

Hi Mate

Welcome aboard have fun with the mods, careful with putting the bikes on the back of your camper, make sure it is all secure otherwise you could be in for a shock. Besides the actual camping doing the mods are half the fun, good luck with it all

Thanks for the welcomes. Modding anything is fun in my life! I have 3 cars and they are constantly getting 'improved' and changed! Its a sickness, now to turn this modding bug to the camper!
