Title: Motor homes towing Suzuki Vitaras
Post by: phrothy on January 17, 2019, 07:30:14 PM
After a trip recently I kept seeing the odd motor home which seemed to always be towing a vitara. Got me thinking why vitaras? Is there something about them that makes them suited to be towed - smaller and 4wd capable? Out of curiosity anyone know anything on this?

I have been told by people in the past that the Vitaras are one of the few with the neutral in the transfer case so they can be towed on all fours without issue.

They are also a capable 4x4

Just before I read this thread a motorhome pulled into the Bombala cp with a Vitara on the back so I asked them. They have a transfer case with a neutral so you can have an auto. They’re light weight and reasonably priced. The engineering work can be done in all capitol cities and is also reasonably priced.

Our Suzuki Grand Vitara has a proper old fashion Hi/Li Transfer case with a Neutral.  Little car works well for what we need it for.
