I launched my rocket. Just shy of 15,000 feet up @ Mach 1.6. The rocket is 6 feet long, so that should give you an idea of the size of the exhaust plume.   :cheers:

Can one of those rockets be mounted, say on a bonnet of a Jeep, for lets say, the purpose of disposing of slow drivers in front of the already mentioned Jeep?

It has altimeters that detect it has started on the way down and they activate charges that break the rocket apart and eject a small parachute (the drogue). That brings the rocket down fairly quickly so it doesn't drift away in the wind. No problem. I'll start a thread in the trips forum when registrations are open. It's a fantastic location to camp, too. It's a family affair, so bring the billy lids if you have any. The kids will have the chance to choose a rocket and fly it, then take it home. I've gotten started on building a couple this afternoon.

i'll keep an eye out for that thread in the future then, sounds great with the kids and rockets also, i bet the kids who go will get a real thrill out of that  8)

Current issue of Australian Custom Car Builder has a 10 page spread of some of our big boy toys. 3 even made the cover, but I'm not bragging or anything  :angel:

Very nice - looks like a few of us have Stang's on here! I mucked around with Falcons as a young fella but the thing that amazes me is the amount of parts and bits and pieces available for the Stang's -  the 65/66/67 are very well served so keeping them nice is that much easier!

My 67 was imported by a Diplomat in 67 and has been registered ever since - still left hook which makes highway overtaking - "interesting" at times!
